As 2025 draws to a close, I reflect on the year Ocala Healthcare has had with pride. As with all care providers, we've had to overcome a variety of challenges and we've had to adapt.
Fortunately, we never asked for easy, we asked for meaningful, we asked for impact, and we asked for making a difference.
The commitment and dedication of our people have meant we have risen about those challenges and provided care and support that has allowed people to set and achieve new goals.
Our Community Response team largely flies under the radar but is having a hugely successful impact on reducing hospital admissions for people with a learning disability or autism. This closely knit team provides incredible support in the very dynamic circumstances.
Our complex support teams provide care in the community in a safe and stable environment which has allowed those we support to travel and live in their chosen meaningful way.
It’s been great to be able to celebrate their success with them at the appreciation events that we held throughout the year, including the carers week lunch, Suffolk Carer Appreciation Event, and our Christmas party.
Ocala Healthcare’s foundational principle is to make a meaningful impact, and it is both our care and leadership team that ensures that this principle is lived out in the real world.
If you’ve been following us throughout the year, you will have seen some changes that we made along the way! The most obvious being our new branding!
We also have a new Registered Manager, with Rachel being promoted from Service Manager. Taking over the role from Director Samantha Cage, who will be stepping into an Operational Director role. Their effective leadership in addition to that of Annabelle, Chloe, and Steven, means that the care and support team can focus on delivering for those we support.
A first-time investment for Ocala Healthcare was the introduction of Selin, who brings with her a fountain of marketing knowledge and is our first in-house marketer! Annabelle took the reins of our social media late last year and had already enhanced the quality of our marketing, and with the addition of Selin, it’s exciting to see what 2026 will bring.
The icing on the cake this year was being a finalist for both the Wellbeing at Work award for the Suffolk Care Awards and Medium Business of the Year for the East Anglian Daily Times.
As we look forward to 2026, we know that there will be bumps in the road. Ocala Healthcare was founded eight years ago to be a solution to the care market’s problems, and we’re already working on new offers and initiatives to contribute to the betterment of social care in Suffolk in 2026.
