Our Journey So Far...

Setting Sail

November 17 - Ocala Healthcare started initially as a care recruitment agency, which is now our sister business Ocala Recruitment.

Delivers our first shift

January 18 - Following 3 months of persistence and hard work, we delivered our first care shift to a home in Hadleigh.

Business Growth

October 18 - We were awarded the Business Growth Award for Mid-Suffolk Business Stars.

Growing Teams

June 19 - Our team continues to grow as we put valuing and appreciating care workers at the centre of our work.

Pandemic

March 20 - The pandemic changed the lives of everyone. When the world stopped, Social Care kept going. Everyone associated with Social Care who helped keep care going can look back on this with pride.

Support Local Authority

August 20 - We were invited by Suffolk County Council to support someone with complex care needs under our CQC Registration. This was our first step as a Care Provider ourselves.

Appreciation Event

October 21 - We hosted the first Suffolk Carer Appreciation event. We invited care managers and care workers from across Suffolk to an event that included live music, afternoon tea, and a free raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.

Sister Business

April 22 - Continued growth as a care provider meant that our care agency services needed to become a stand-alone business. Our sister business Ocala Recruitment was created, allowing Ocala Healthcare to follow its own path as a care provider, and Ocala Recruitment to continue it own journey.

Innovation

May 22 - Using Adam's experience as a retained Suffolk Firefighter, we created the retained care worker model, to support local care providers and Suffolk County Council with urgent complex care needs.

Expanding Team

February 23 - We hired a new care coordinator, Annabelle, bringing her passion for great care and experience as a senior carer at a large local care provider. We also developed a new role in the business of Service Manager, where Rachel Carr joined us with her wealth of care leadership experience and dedication to excellence in care delivery.

Tender Win

May 23 - At our first attempt we won a Suffolk County Council tender for the delivery of complex care both in a setting in Ipswich and in the community.

Ski Trip

January 24 - Our team supported a young person on a family skiing holiday. Part of our mission is to help people live a life well-lived, and not putting up barriers. Everyone had an amazing time.
